We investigate photovoltaic plants by wind tunnel tests in order to optimize the wind loads on solar modules. Wind load expertises are set up on the basis of wind tunnel tests. Ballast calculations as well as measures for wind load reduction can be worked out.

Wind Loads at Photovoltaic and Solar Plants
Wind loads at photovoltaic plants are not presented by national codes. Therefor we investigate the wind loads by wind tunnel tests in our boundary wind tunnel for more than 15 years for different types of module arrangements. By this experience we are able to present realistic wind loads.
Wind Load Expertises on the Basis of Wind Tunnel Tests
On the basis of numerous wind tunnel tests we are able to perform wind load expertises which can replace expensive wind tunnel tests, applaying more conservative loads.
Calculation of Ballast Weights
Roof mounted photovoltaic plants which cannot be fixed at the roof surface require ballast weights for stabilizing the panel position on the roof. We offer such ballast calculation.
